<p>I could care less if it’s a real person or not. I hate when people sell themselves short…but even more, I hate when others try to do it for them. There’s a certain innocence that is lost when people throw around, “You can’t.” Let people dream; let them live.</p>

<p>I disagree. When people post chances threads, they’re asking for an honest assessment, which may include opinions that they will probably not be able to accomplish certain things.</p>
<p>With that said, however, I think that some of the people here were coming up deliberately antagonistic assessments of what ballerina could do in her life, assuming that she actually exists. Suggesting that colleges would reject her because “adcoms will know you will never be president or anything,” for example, was pretty ridiculous.</p>
