They seem like a solid applicant, but who knows! No one can really predict unless stats are on either extreme end (and even then it’s unpredictable), and those stats/activities seem kind of in the middle for people accepted to Yale. I’m in the same situation, being middle-ish and having no clue. Good luck though!

^^This is what I love about CC and Chance threads.

In this case, we are told two numerical scores and one activity and somehow from this it can be determined that we have a seemingly “solid applicant”. Perhaps, we don’t even need three pieces of information and we’ll eventually find a way to get by with just one data point. Just a thought.

Even when kids post extensive information about themselves, the idea of asking others (mostly HS kids) to tell them what their “chances are” is absurd. Especially, when the same all-knowing kids who chance the OP’s turn around and then ask to be chanced themselves - because suddenly they no longer possess the expertise to evaluate their own circumstances.

Rather than just three data points, if we knew the applicant’s background (including connections), complete transcript, essays, recs, extracurriculars, and test scores, what the rest of applicant pool looked like, and what the institutional priorities of the college are that year, we MIGHT be able to chance the applicant. Oh wait, if we knew those things we would be the admissions officers. I guess there is no way to Chance someone.

Falcon: All you had to do was just copy and paste.

^^ Yeah I know, but it wouldn’t have been as satisfying.
