I’m somewhat unsure as to what standards out of state students must meet. Is there any data out there excluding California students? Thanks for any input!

Suggest you search for ‘admissions statistics’ and the like at the berkeley.edu web site. Here’s an interesting link that I found http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~amanb/cgi-bin/browseSched.cgi?url=http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu%2Fnews%2Fcompreview%2Fupdate.html

If you poke around a bit, you will at least find out rough statistics as to how you might fare. That said, my S was a statistical stretch and he was accepted (just finished his first semester today)

Good luck.
