Deferred from Harvard EA, but **** Harvard, right? kidding
Major: applied mathematics

bump…

Well, you certainly look much more impressive than i do on paper, and i got in…

are you kidding me?! thanks, though  anybody else?

Well, I AM VERY NICE… But there is nothing you can do, etc

thanks for nothing, MovieBuff >:-(
hahaha

okay, by the general lack of opinions, i am going to assume that i’m either extremely well qualified (and people don’t want to waste their time telling me this) or i’m boring and not qualified. oh well.

Same chances as most of the usual applicants. Nothing outstanding, but certainly not unimpressive. Plus the fact that you got deferred from Harvard is a good sign.
I have to second what kwiji said in saying that you look more impressive than myself on paper, and I got in.

From your stats, you seem pretty focused on math and science, which is great. Also, I thought it was pretty neat that you were published in Chicken Soup.
MathNerds sounds really cute, haha!

this just in: i got 2nd place on the un essay contest (national competition). do you think this will help? (should i send it in or not?)

2nd in a national competition? Of course.

Congrats! :)

You’re golden.

You do look better than me as well, and I got into Stanford EA; so, I don’t see why that couldn’t work for Yale.

Great luck to you!

Yeah, that’s pretty awesome. Send it!

I think you have a definite chance. You are unique and I think Yale is seeking women who are strong in the sciences and math. I think after all that bad press that Harvard had with their ex-pres. Sumner, Yale learned a good lesson. I have heard from a NYC college counselor that Yale is actually trying to be proactive in how with they are handle women/Yale image. Don’t know if it is true, but it sounds logical. Obviously I haven’t read your essays, but they sound unique and got my attention. Best of luck.
