<p>I am a African American Female from California my school is in the top 200 for the best schools in the nation. I started going there my sophmore year so my grades dropped that year so it brought down my gpa a bit. Also i am from a single parent household

<p>You have the scores and EC’s that out OOS’er would need, and minority status. I’d say you have a pretty damn good chance.</p>
<p>if anything maybe the GPA could use a little work</p>
<p>how difficult is your courseload senior year? and how many AP’s have you taken? everything looks really good though! lol yeah, the minority status definitely helps</p>

<p>You’re going to have to make up for your GPA by really shining in extracurriculars. These look good, but make sure on the application you take the time to explain in a sentence or two each one (they give you the room). Also work VERY hard on your essays, and apply Early Action. Do not wait to apply Early Decision. I’m not an admissinos counsellor, but I know that that GPA isn’t fantastically high and might hurt you.</p>
