Ok, this is going to be really annoying, but there’s not much that anyone here can tell you. Your SATs are certainly fine for yale but not at the top of their pool, your grades are below average for yale applicants. With that said, most of the admitted pre-freshmen that i’ve met aren’t cookie cutter applicants with 4.0s and 2400s at all… it’s usually something else special that gets you in. In a nutshell, the information you gave here has almost nothing to do with you getting into yale. Your academic performance this year (i’m assuming you’re a junior) in conjunction with any explanation you can give for your lowish grades (relative to the rest of yale applicants) and unique essays will play a large factor in any admission decision.

yeah kwijiborjt basically said it…there’s no way for us to tell whether you’re a good applicant or a bad applicant from the info you’ve given us with the little we know about Yale admissions

thanks for replying
