Chances at the following schools: Cornell, Brown, NYU (Gallatin):

GPA: 3.41
ACT 25

Applying as a junior

Started two clubs at my current college
Volunteer 10 hrs a week at various locations
violinist
Resident Advisor

I know these are long shots, but why not try.

lol save your money

Cornell and Brown are super reaches. NYU Gallatin would be possible, depending on the college you are applying from and pending a better ACT score.

Do you actually run cross country? Track, as well?

i know nothing about nyu.

if you’re just applying for kicks, your chances are slim at both; if you’re truly passionate about EITHER brown or cornell, apply to one of those schools and go ALL OUT on the application.

you need a hook, “best 1-2%” essays, “best 1-2%” recs… basically, you’ve got to put together an application that could outshine those submitted by great writers from stanford/berkeley/dartmouth with 3.8 GPAs, great recs, and solid ECs.
