chances?

<p>I am going to be a senior this year in a large public high school in New York
Rank - 29/638 - this is based on frosh/soph years when my GPA was approx. 94, where now it is approx. 96.5, so it should go up
SAT I - 740 CR, 610 M, 610 W - this was my first attempt, going in cold. After taking practice tests, my math and writing both went into the 700’s.
APs
Junior Year - US History, English Lang. - awaiting grades
Senior Year - Chem, Calc AB, English Lit, Eco, Spanish
ECs
Ski Club 2 years
Varsity Indoor Track
Varsity Lacrosse - All-league Junior Year
Vice Pres. of Junior Class
VP of NHS
50 hrs. community service right now through the church
First Generation College Student

<p>If anyone could give me a general opinion of my chances at Northwestern (School of Engineering, if that matters), that would be great</p>

<p>your SAT is quite low, for the engineering school especially. your top 5% ranking is good, maybe try getting it up to top 3% if you can during your first semester of senior year (of course this doesn’t apply if you are planning to ED)</p>

<p>your first gen status is a help. and RETAKE that SAT! try and get 700+ on all sections if you can</p>
