take the ACT, if you get better than a 30, don’t submit your SAT scores.

depends on which school you’re applying to, your test scores are obviously the weakest part of your application, so like i said, maybe try taking the ACT, i have a friend who scored right around where you did on the SAT (slightly lower) but who then went on to get a 34 on the ACT. try seeing what you can get.

i didnt realize the ACTs were easier but no im not applying to the music school just enjoy playing piano. My school only offers 3 ap credits and im taking 1 but we have extended french, a program where you graduate with a certain number of french credits and a bilingual certificate, i dont knwo if that counts as rigor but its definitely harder than the standard english program.

idk if the ACT is easier. it tests different aspects and IMO is a better test in general instead of the SAT. i think it is a better standarized test than the SAT. ive never been a fan of the 10 sections on the SAT. act is one straight shot on each subject.

the ACT isn’t “easier” than the SAT, they just test different things, and some people do better on one than the other.

the ACT more directly measures how much you applied yourself in high school, while the SAT more closely measures your raw reasoning ability.

i personally did better on the SAT, my friend did better on the ACT. so you never know which test will favor you more, that’s why you should try both.
