3.6 UW GPA at the best public school in Washington
I have taken all Honors and AP courses at my school
1300 SAT 29 ACT

I went to three summer academic enrichment programs which I paid for with the money I earned from my own landscaping business. I also work as a secretary and I tutor. I have done some volunteer work with my Mom’s special education students and for the rotary club.

I have done 12 years of private gymnastics. I was team captain two years of our high school gymnastics team. I have four Varsity letters from hs gym. I also qualified to state every year and earned a spot on the All-State-Academic team.

I have also earned 4 Varsity letters for track, I run the 100 and 300m hurdles.

I played in the wind ensemble as first oboe for three years and traveled to California for competitions. I had to stop this year because it was band or AP Gov…I chose Gov.

Clubs are NOT big at my school, hardly anyone does them

I loved my essays, my recs were solid…

I visited the campus to show even more interest…

ur in…pretty much unlesss u hav a lotta alcohol citations, suspensions or spending 13 hours and 40 minutes in prison for illegal possession of stuff!!

lol, i agree w/ btboxpunk. i think that you have a great chance at BC, Britty512. I remember your post from the Wellesley forum and I just want you to know that w/ your stellar record, you will get into an amazing school.

What other schools have you applied to? I ask this because it seems like we’ve applied to similar ones: Boston College (go eagles!), Wellesley (wow, what’s their mascot? lol). I’ve also applied to UW and some other schools, but I think I’ve narrowed my list down to these three. So you live on Bainbridge Island? I know someone who lives there too so I’m assuming that he goes to the high school there. I live in Tacoma and I don’t happen to go to the “the best public school in Washington”… lol, just your regular public high school, but I love it (most of the time!).

Anyways, good luck w/ this crazy process that we call getting into college and keep us posted on your decisions. I think that you might be the only other person from Washington on this BC forum so its cool that you’re applying there too.

gotta wait for the stuff in April…i applied to a whoppin 17 schoools…u kno its like im not gonna get the chance to apply ever again. im definitely gonna go to Boston tho…like the place, 1people, far far from home…plus my bro owns a frat house kinda thing, where there’ll always be enuf room for me.

virginia, maryland, penn state, george washington, georgetown, jons hopkins, upenn, harvard, amherst, wesleyan, cornell, mit, bu, northwestern…yeap
lotta rejections headed my Wayyy
ah man but wudnt it be whoa babyy oh soo amazing if i got into All of them

wow… 17, that’s the most i’ve heard of yet! good luck w/ all of 'em, but considering all of your choices, either way you go you’ll end up at an amazing school.

so is your brother in a frat or something? i know that most people like the idea that there aren’t any frats/sororities at BC, which is cool and all, but if i were to go to my state school (University of Washington), I would seriously consider pledging to a few sororities.

where are you from? you mentioned that boston is far, far from home… and thats the same for me too, but it sure would be awesome to go to school there.

yeaa!! after spendin all my playy money on college…it better be Amazing…
