AP Spanish Lang: 4

Chicago’s a reach, but it’s not impossible.

A list of schools that I love that may or may not have easier admissions than Chicago:

Tufts
U Rochester
Oberlin
Wesleyan
Colorado College
Macalester
Barnard
Smith
NYU
Clark U
Lewis and Clark
UC Berkeley
Reed
St. John’s College

If your gpa was a bit higher, I think you would be good. But your chances are a bit eh. But nevertheless, admissions are always wierd so apply!!!

I agree that you have a chance. Your GPA is a bit low. Apply EA and try to bring up your GPA as much as possible for your senior year. My child applied EA with a 3.6 GPA and similar SAT scores. She got deferred EA, but accepted regular admission. So, give it a try, but really let them know how much you want to go there, why you would fit in and what your passions are what you could contribute to the school. I second the University of Rochester as another school to apply to that is about as good an education and highly respected. It is a little easier to get into than Chicago. In fact, the dean at the U of Chicago had two of his children go there. Also, try to play up and explain at least one or two of your extra curriculars. Chicago likes to see passion and from your post it is hard to tell.

I re-read my post and weird.
