Chances?

I want to apply ED for the freshman class of 2008. I am a caucasian female from a public high school.

GPA: 3.7 unweighted, 5.1 weighted
My school doesn’t rank but I am pretty sure I am in the top 10%
ACT: 30 (retaking in September… I was a point away from a 31 so I think I can get a 31 or 32)

So far I have taken five AP classes (and have passed all of the tests) and all but two of my other classes have been honors

Senior year: AP Econ/AP Gov, AP Psychology, AP Calc AB, AP English Lit, Newspaper (honors), Anatomy (honors)

ECs:
I have been playing the violin since I was seven. I participated in a community orchestra all throughout high school, and I was first chair of the second violins.

Newspaper reporter for my school for two years

Worked at the Diabetes Research Institute (where they are trying to find a cure for diabetes)

Volunteer in a home with disabled kids

Volunteer at my local hospital

Member of Key Club, National Honors Society, Science National Honors Society, English Honors Society, Quill and Scroll Honors Society

I know my gpa is not that great, but only because I got a really severe case of mono in the middle of junior year! I actually had mostly A’s before then, so I feel confident that my senior grades will make up for it.

Thanks

I guess no one thinks I have a shot haha. Whatever, I am still going for it. I was just curious to see what others thought.
