r u in Texas?
If u were, u got a good chance…but if ur oos student, u might hav trouble.
u got excellent SAT and good EC, but ur GPA and rank r hurting.
try to improve those

Yep definitely from texas…

Your up in the air I think. I think it really depends on your major. But you have good chances regardless(for everything other than business, which is possible but less likely).

Well a very small number of students are international…3% I believe. That’s actually HIGHER than the number of out of state American students.

I don’t know if UT is going to know much about the prestige of high schools in Toronto so that might not help too much. The GPA is a little low unless it’s unweighted and you’ve been taking a lot of AP classes. Top 20% isn’t bad but not a sure thing.

Your SAT score is one that would usually be admitted. I believe the average is like 1900 so you seem to be above that.

You’ve got pretty good ECs–shouldn’t be a problem there.

However, the main factors are SAT + Grades/Rank. I’d say you’d be borderline but more likely than not accepted if you were from TX. I don’t know what to say about a intl. app because I really don’t know the acceptance rate for foreign students.

Hope this eases some anxiety.

the thing is our school doesn’t have AP and IB courses. If u get a 90-95 it is a 3.6. i got around 86 % so it is 3.4 GPA. I sucks i know, but it is just so unfair!!

basically what foxshox said, I think your chances are good except business, usually those people are ALWAYS top 10%… and always have good grades, but you have alot of leadership and etc. So you will most likely get in.

UT isn’t that hard to get into…you have a pretty good chance if you are just in the top 30%

He is an out of country applicant… which makes it harder
