<p>my GPA is i think about 3.98 wieghted probbaly about 3.7ish unweighted, i took AP BC calc in 10th grade, 3 other APs before senior year and all honors. senior year i have 4 aps and french. my sats are 730 CR, 700 math, 770 writing. i took sat2chem 730, sat 2 math2 770, sat 2 lit 670. i do a good number of activities and have a good number of writing awards from 9th and 10th grade. problem though: in my optional essey i wrote “universities” instead of “university’s” how much will this hurt me. can i kiss bucknell goodbye?</p>
<p>Either one could be correct depending on context:</p>
<p>“I have visited several different universities…”</p>
<p>or</p>
<p>“Bucknell University’s campus is very beautiful…”</p>
<p>I wouldn’t worry about that typo. The admissions staff knows you’re human. I know someone that was admitted that wrote “collage” instead of “college.” I also made a pretty embarrassing error in one of the short answer responses (I can’t remember what it was exactly), but I was still admitted. Your stats are strong, so just relax and enjoy the rest of your senior year.</p>

<p>You could call Bucknell and ask them the protocol to resubmit the essay, which you could submit with the grammatical error corrected. It probably isn’t necessary since your credentials are good and it is a small error but resubmitting might be an option.</p>
<p>I think this is one of those split hairs that admissions officers, bored outta their skulls from reading mundane, self-aggrandizing essays will quickly move to the acquit file. Conversely, one’s better hope than bringing it to their attention and confirming its presence and perhaps your ensuing absence is to let it ride, hope for the best. A lesson learned for the next go round of essay writing responding to, “Tell us about the most painful screw up you’ve made and how you dealt with that?” As you know, this is not merely a “typo.” Nor is it likely to be fatal, unless your app fails to carry your strengths anyway.</p>
<p>well, speaking of boring essays i made this mistake, in get this, an essay about how i would bring the world to bucknell by building an enormous castle out of waffle pretzels. their bound to think i’m not only insane, but also possessively challenged lol. i’ll just hope for the best i guess</p>
