I have a 2.5 GPA (i know, i know) and average SAT scores. I do have good EC’s. I was wondering what my chances for admissions were at Colorado @ Boulder, Missouri @ Columbia, and West Virginia University. thanks a bunch

Expand, please…

Colorado - reach
Missouri - reach or high match
West Virginia University - match

What is an average SAT score? What are good EC’s?

for ECs i have Eagle Scout and a bunch of volunteer hours…my SAT score was a 1280

Are those all the ECs you have? Sports? Jobs? Church? Clubs? Events? How much is a bunch of volunteer hours? 5? Couple dozen? Couple hundred? Eagle scout is excellent, but if that’s all you have, then you don’t actually have good EC’s. More like a good EC.

1280 is not average. If you think that’s average, then, obviously, you’re not very informed at all.

Since you have a 2.5 G.P.A, I’m going to assume that your SAT is 1280/2400 instead of 1600. Now, 1280 is way below the national average. So, 1280 is way way below the averages of the colleges you applied to.

ugggg, those numbers are really low. How does an Eagle Scout have such a low G.P.A. and test scores, it doesn’t make sense. Every Eagle Scout I’ve ever met was an impeccable student.

Based on this new information, I’m going to have to say.
Colorado - reach
Missouri - reach
West Virginia University - reach or high match

Better hope they like Eagle Scouts a lot!

You have an okay chance for those schools? have you retaken the SATs? I was wondering how long it took you to get Eagle Scout, thanks.

butterbattle i also have sports, jobs, and more events but i didnt list those. I have several hundred volunteer hours. I actuallt wasnt sure where if SAT scores were average or not i just knew that theyn weren’t anything great. And no i havent retaken the SAT’s becasue im a sophmore in college.

And aspasp it took me about 4 and half years to get Eagle
