Ok so I’m a future 09’ grad, I’m from Tx and here are my stats:

SAT: 1220 CR+M
Rank: 21 now 19 or 17 by next school yr
GPA: 3.7 or 3.8
Microsoft Certificate for Comp. App.
UIL contestant for comp app

AP student

Problems: Out of the 549ish students in my class, 220 failed the standardized test for the state and therefore have to retake, drop out, or repeat junior year. This will lower my ranking percentile maybe. :(

UT-Austin? Just as good, and half the price.

honestly except for athletics your stats are kind of low for ucsd, plus im not sure but i dont think they really care a whole lot about athletics

in my opinion you should have at least a 1350 SAT
and gpa should be at least 4.0 (weighted)

being a contestant isn’t really much, unless you placed in a competition

why not go to texas a&m?

your stats are average at best, and being out-of-state you usually have to give them a good reason to take you over an in-state student.

wow that many kids have to repeat a year or dropout? if more states were like that maybe the high school diploma would actually mean something

I hate them all! I wish I went to a decent school in Texas like St. Marks or Southlake Carroll.
