Everything looks good to me, I think you should get in. I was accepted as an oos student with slightly lower SAT’s and a similar gpa.

did you receive any merit money?

No I didn’t receive any money and I wasn’t invited to Gemstone, College Park Scholars or any of those programs. I was however accepted into the Merrill College of Journalism which is one of the limited enrollment programs.

If you can bring up your CR score and/or take the ACT you’d greatly improve your chances of $$ and/or one of the other “academic” living/learning programs they offer. Make sure and write at least one of the short answers (or your essay) to include what all your volunteer experience has taught you/changed you/influenced you, etc. and have someone proofread everything you write on your app. If you aren’t able to bring up the CR score, if you can make sure to sound articulate on your app, that will be a good thing.

thank you for the advise, im planning to take the sats again this fall to bring up mainly the critical reading score, so hopefully all goes well!
