Chances?

Princeton was the first campus I visited and I have been back three times since, I love it. Although it’s nearly impossible to predict chances, I would appreciate any feedback.

Native Americans have a huge advantage over every other group. With your stats you are a shoo-in!! Hello Tigertown!

You’re going to be very competitive especially with the boost from your URM status. Don’t expect to get in, but realize that you have excellent chances (better than most).

Thanks for the feedback!
Princeton has been my number one choice but as the college search has gone on, I have started to get nervous about my chances. I am trying to decide if I should apply ED to a state school so that I feel secure knowing- where I am going by December. Any insight is really appreciated right now since I have a three weeks to decide.

If you apply to top schools, it is unlikely that you will know by December where you will be going to school next year. For Princeton, nobody knows until April  But why is knowing by December so important? You should have no difficulty getting into a number of good schools, including your flagship state school.

Well the state school in question is one of the top public ivies in the country and I would know by Dec 1 if I were to apply early decision. It’s a tough choice so I’m really trying to decide if the security is worth it if I have a chance at a school like Princeton. Thanks for feedback!

I still say you have an excellent chance at any Ivy. They would all love to increase their small Native American numbers. (Do you have tribal registration? Or does your GC know of your affiliation?)

Have you considered doing Early Action at Yale or Stanford (they are single choice early action.) You could be accepted at the one you chose, yet not be committed to decide until you heard from your Regular Decision schools in April.

You could still apply to your state U for RD.
