currently work as a hostess at a restaurant a couple days a week (need to save money for textbooks…)

interview was very good, i thought

good-very good chances, I’d say.

Why does it matter what flying pig or anyone else says? They’re not in the admissions office. Take your best shot and deal with it. They’ll be lucky to have you on campus. If they’re not smart enough to see that, you’ll end up someplace else that’s probably better anyway.

ignore swatgrad… no idea why this poster is blatantly ■■■■■■■■ the Wes forums

your GPA is a little low but your great SATs make up for it I think. you’ve got a good a shot as any. I dont see anything that would be a dealbreaker. Wes cant admit everyone who’s qualified though, so it is a crapshoot. with good odds, I might add.

Haha although a ■■■■■ on another chance thread, Swatgrad did compliment you:

I never answer to chance threads, nor do I ever ask for my chances, but I’ll reply since I’m posting anyway. Your stats are pretty similar to mine, so I’m hoping you have a chance haha.

You had similar stats to mine (great SATs, my grades were slightly better but you had a job during the school year and I did not, I’m a girl, I took similar APs, etc.) and I just got in.

Wes puts an unusually high emphasis on recs, I think, so that should help you.

Good luck!

you have very similar stats and activities to me, except i took IB instead of AP and I am international.

but regardless, you have a good chance of getting in. but let me clarify, by good chance I mean above average (25%ish) or getting in. In no way are you or anyone else, for that matter, a lock.
