<p>You attend a top school with a good GPA, minority, first generation, and an amazing essay. Gets you into any school really. Or am I only saying this because the things you have as hooks are the same as mine? Hm…? Nah. :-0</p>

<p>Just curious why you would want to leave UMich? Its a great school and Ann Arbor is supposed to be quite nice although I’m sure you are probably frozen up there this time of the year!
About your chances - I don’t really know how they view GPAs and such with transfer applicants but the URM and first generation should certainly give you a boost. Good luck.</p>

<p>Michigan has actually been my dream school since a youngin; however financially neither my parents nor I qualify for extended loans (Michigan covers 60%). Plus given the fact that I know I’ll be attending graduate school after I earn a bachelor’s degree, I have concluded that’s in my best interest. Why Vandy, simply because I long for something completely different in terms of cultural atmosphere.</p>
