Chances

Hi, I am a high school junior, just looking at if i could possibly get into this school when I apply my senior year, which is slowly closing in on me!

AP’s
APUSH-took this year-no test grade yet
AP World-taking next year
AP Spanish-taking next year

Honors:
Honors Global I, II
Honors English I, II, III
Spanish I, II, III, IV

GPA: 4.33 out of 4.5 weighted, grades all in 90’s, roughly top 11% in my class of 400

ACT: 25, will retake after the summer, after I study hoping for a 28

EC’S:
Varsity Swimming
Boy Scouts
Manager for Girl’s Swim team
Youth Group at my church
Joining Model UN next year, maybe Service Club too

Regents: most in upper 90%'s, 1 100%, and 1 89%

overall looks good. I would really try on the ACT though, 28 is the lower end of GW’s mid-range scores. My first practice test was a 25 but with focus and study I was able to get a 30. You can do it!

Have you tried taking the SAT? If you proctor yourself a practice test, you can probably see how well you’re going to do. Some people score better on the SAT than the ACT (I did). If you’re just taking a practice test, then you’re not even wasting any money on the test itself! I would really aim for 29+ and 2000+ just to sure up you’re application.
