Essays: Worked really hard on them, I’m a very good essay writer but this really baffles me. I think they turned out pretty good.

Recommendations: 1 very good, 1 Ok, counselor one is great

Hooks: Legacy at BC, Duke, Stanford; Also Letter of Recommendation from Brown Professor and I know my brown alumni interviewer; In-state at W and M and UVA

Your SAT and hooks are impressive! Do you have any idea if being an IB diploma student is better than AP or are they viewed equally?

Here’s my opinion:
William and Mary: match
UVA: match
Brown: low-mid reach (or maybe even high match since you know the Professor and the alumni interviewer)
Duke: match
Stanford: reach
Columbia ED: low to high reach
Boston College: match (or maybe even low match)
NYU: match
UPenn: low to high reach
Washington and Lee: match
Chicago EA: high match

Also I forgot to mention that I am my school’s valedictorian; one out of 400 about, but my school will have like 30 valedictorians because they do it weird, however my counselor thinks my GPA is highest in the class about (colleges won’t know that I don’t think unless she says it in the rec)

NYU is definitely not a reach for you. I know people that have been accepted with lowers stats.
