<p>I’m a sophomore at a public h.s. Even though I’m not going to be applying to nyu for some time, I really would like to know what needs improvement when it comes to admissions.

Rank: most likely at least top 10% (out of ~900)
GPA (UW): 90/91 (W): 96
Activities:
Set Design for the school play, Symphony Orchestra, Robotics Club (FRC), Gay-Straight Alliance/ERASE (two clubs combined into one), Key Club</p>
<p>Leadership:
Almost guaranteed V.P. position for junior year and pres. position for senior year in my school’s Gay-Straight Alliance</p>
<p>Volunteering:
Nothing yet, but will definitely change by the end of this year</p>
<p>PSATs: Math:640 Writing:680 Cr:630 </p>
<p>Couseload: Most rigorous possible with the exception of USHist 1 Ap (Will have taken 6APs by senior year) One thing that might hurt for college admissions is that I’m only taking 2yrs of FL due to the fact that my current FL teacher is insane and my current FL class is native speaker.</p>
