What worries me are my SAT scores (No doubt that I need to retake). 700 math, 620 verbal (620 writing). This after doing very well on the PSAT. After seeing these scores, I really wish I would’ve never taken the test and just let my ACT scores do the work. However, my counselor recommended some stupid crap so now I think I’m forced to improve. I was pretty shocked about getting 700 on the math section and 620 writing (36 Math, 35 English). I’m shooting for 1500 next time I take (800 math, 700 verbal)

Why take it again? I’m in most similar situation. I got a 33 on the ACT twice, I’m looking at NU, but I only got a 1980, a good score, but no 33. Now, I’m just going to leave it because they are supposed to only look at the highest score

But, I think you have a great shot, write a good essay and get good recs. Show you’re dedicated to your EC’s.

I took the ACT and counselor recommended I send my sat scores in when i took the test. I assumed I would do well and just had them sent. So I sent them results from my 1940. I definitely think that improving this would make my chances much better.
