<p>I know this is a little bit early, but I am going to be a Junior this year and was wondering my chances</p>

<p>College Class Year: 2016
High School: Public (Selective County Academy, all classes are Honors)</p>

<p>Academics:
GPA - Unweighted: 3.7
Class Size: 68</p>

<p>Scores:
PSAT:
Math- 61
Reading- 63
Writing- 65
(In SAT that would be an 1890.) I’m going to take the SAT in October and the ACT sometime next year</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Significant Extracurriculars: Dance Club, Dance lessons (starting from when I was 3, I have taken ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, lyrical, and hiphop. currently, i take advanced jazz, advanced lyrical, and advanced hip hop), Chorus, this year I became eligible for NHS, traveling soccer team in the spring, practice 2x a week and games 1x a week, plus once a week practice in the winter indoor. participate in tournaments a few times a year</p>

<p>Leadership positions: Started Chorus in my school, co-president, senior year i will be one of the captains of dance club</p>

<p>Athletic Status - basketball freshman year (freshman team) soccer freshman and sophomore year (freshman and then jv)</p>

<p>Volunteer/Service Work: Coached 7th and 8th grade recreation basketball team last year, was the teacher for 5th and 6th grade at my Church’s vacation bible school last year and this year, In my church’s teen youth group, helped out at my town’s 5K race, sang with my chorus and sang solos at the nearby nursing home a bunch of times throughout the school year </p>

<p>Honors and Awards: NHS this year, went to Teen Arts (a festival in which i performed and was evaluated, got superior marks)</p>

<p>Junior Year Classes- Precalc, Spanish IV, English III, US History II, Chemistry, Visual Communications (Painting, Graphic Design) TV/Radio Studio Production, Gym, Health. (All the classes in my school are honors, I go to an selective county academy)</p>

<p>Other: I hold a steady summer job at the restaurant on the beach in my town (I live at the jersey shore) and babysit regularly for two families. I also referee for a recreation soccer league (grades 1-4) in the fall.</p>

<p>I go to a school for communications (I’ve taken Journalism, Computer Applications, Digital Video, Graphic Design, etc) but I really don’t plan on majoring in that in the future. It has helped me greatly in web design and my writing skills, and I think it will be useful in whatever career i pursue.</p>

<p>Hi - it is too early to tell, but you look like a good student and participate in other activities. </p>

<p>Just keep up for GPA, consider taking one or two AP classes your senior year as that will really help. It’s way too early to tell for you SATs… it’s really a ‘you never know until you take it’ thing as some people do great and not so much for others. But your PSATs look fairly good.</p>

<p>In conclusion – keep up your GPA, take challenging classes (but don’t overload yourself), stay active with your clubs and continue community service and you’re on a good track!</p>

<p>I would take AP classes but my school doesn’t offer them, although I am taking spanish 4, calculus, and creative writing, which i will get college credits for.</p>
