I think the UCs should be matches, considering ur instate, with UCI and UCSD being low match/safety, and UCLA being a low match, and UCB being a match-low match. Harvard is a tossup, but thats with 90+% of the applicants. Duke is just a little be less competitive…

UCI: Safety (in state)
UCSD: Safe Match (in state)
UCLA: Match (in state)
UC Berkeley: Match (in state)
WUSTL: Slight Reach
Cornell: Slight Reach

Harvard: Reach

If you could compute your capped UC GPA it would give me a better idea for the UC’s.

Thanks, I have a 4.0 UC Gpa.

bumpppppppppppp

bumpbumpppp

ur SAT writing score is a little low, but that is alritr. u seem to be really strong in everything else. UCs are a match. There aren’t really any guarantees with Duke, Cornell, or Harvard. Although, ull probably get into Cornell… Anyways, good luck!

cool. thanks danceluvur. bummppp

all big unis and no LACs?

My parents don’t want me to go to an LAC because they aren’t as well known to the general population (namely family members) as big universities. Stupid reason, I know, but yeah my parents didn’t want that.

bumpbumpbump

pretty good chance at all of them. The only thing that worries me is “2nd decile.” Congrats, though; you’ve done quite well. Best of luck.

thanks. bump. any other opinions greatly appreciated!

bumpuuuumpppppp

You might be admitted to all of your schools. Dedicated and accomplished sax player is rare especially when combined with singing & stellar SAT scores. Certainly your application will stand out-even at Harvard. AP exams are impressive and Nat’l Hispanic Scholar status won’t hurt either.

wow you really think so? despite my gpa and rank? i never wouldve thought of harvard

floppy:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCI: Safety
