Chance me please at the following:
Vassar
Carleton
Lewis and Clark
Whitman
Grinnell
Kenyon

I know there are some reaches there, but I’m in at a safety already so I thought I would check out my chances at these places. Thanks!

My older daughter had similar stats as you. Last year she was wait-listed at Carleton and accepted at Kenyon with a $7,000 merit scholarship. (She ended up at College of Wooster with a very good merit package.) I love your chances at Whitman, which I think is a wonderful school and one that I wish my daughter had applied to. … OK, now. Are you SURE this will cure cancer?

I know it’s annoying to bump a bunch of times, but I’ve only gotten one serious response. Please, just a couple more would be super helpful. Thanks!

CJ, either play nice or leave. You aren’t being helpful. You’re pretty cool, you’ve gotten your attention, now politely make serious posts only. Thank you.

Well I apologize for offending you. I probably shouldn’t joke about a disease that is very serious. I lost a grandfather to cancer myself and I remember how hard that was, and I’m so sorry for your loss. I just titled my forum that to stand out from the “chance me plz” that everybody uses. I didn’t mean to mislead or offend anybody, and if I could re-title my thread I would do it differently.

andyourmothertoo–I’ve lost several loved ones to cancer, and the name of your thread didn’t bother me in the least. In fact, it caught my attention and made me want to respond. Plus, don’t we ALL want a cure for cancer? I’m willing to try anything these days, even chancing you on your college possibilities!

good chances at all including vassar, carleton and grinnell where your scores put you in the middle of the applicant pool. of course being a white male from an upper middle-class doesn’t help and that 650 doesn’t look too good. your ecs and gpa seem weak in comparison to other applicants. in your case, essays can become the deciding factor.
