For what it’s worth, net enrollment between 1980 and 2006 from those schools is -37325

The number of engineering BS degrees issued in the US peaked in the mid-1980s, then dropped significantly in the 1990s. Since 2000, the numbers have been climbing back up, but they still haven’t quite caught up to the levels of 20 years ago. Overall undergraduate enrollments have grown steadily over the past 20 years, but undergraduate engineering enrollments have not.

The real growth in engineering enrollments over the past 20 years has been at the MS level.

The top 10 engineering schools are highlighted.
