Changes proposed by the CAP

As many of you may or may not know, Tony Marx (the president of Amherst) and the Committee on Academic Priorities have announced their suggestions for changes and improvements to be made at Amherst; among the suggestions are increasing the size of the next incoming class, increasing Amherst’s efforts at identifying and admitting underpriveleged students, enhancing the strength and breadth of the curriculum offered, and enacting some sort of writing requirement for students.
