Changing colleges

I was accepted into Loyola University in Chicago and I was super excited to go. However, I did have my doubts about paying for tuition and other college expenses, but my brother told me to just go for it. I realize now that they do have payment plans and whatnot, but I think that it would be easier to go to an in state school.

I’ve already put my housing deposit in and signed up for my classes, but I’ve made up my mind to stay in Washington. My question is how do I go about letting them know that I am going to stay in Washington? Do I just call the admission office and tell them my situation?

And forgive me if I’ve posted this in the wrong spot, I’m new here :(

Are you admitted to a college in Washington, or will you be taking a year off?

Yes, call the admissions office, explain the situation. The office may ask you to put your decision in writing so they are certain it is you. Other students do this too over summer, in admissions parlance it is called “summer melt”.
