<p>My first deadline for applications is October 15. I was wondering whether I could put in a decent draft of my Common App Essay and submit it. After October 15, and finalizing my Common App essay, could I upload a revised version or would the draft be locked in?</p>
<p>Also, what’s the deal with the 500 word limit. I know the Common App says please write an essay between 250-500 words? Is the 500 words a hard cap? If it’s not a hard cap, would 550-600 words be fine?</p>
