I am applying to some Ivy Leagues, but I realized that for my first extracurricular activity’s description I left out some important information that would have made me stand out. I’m now wondering whether I can possibly contact all of the universities and request them to change it. Would this be prudent? Would it create any negative impression? Would it reduce my credibility? I want to be completely sure whether it is a good idea doing such a thing.
Thanks for the reply. In my opinion it’s quite important – it describes non-academic incentives and qualities that I possess, so I really want to add it in. It’s for my most important activity as well.
Don’t bother. They have tens of thousands of applications to sift through, and if you couldn’t get the description of your EC correct after months of working on your application, I would hardly bother them with it now.
