<p>Recently i decided to change my premedical route and majoring in Integrative biology to Political Economy, but right now i am taking Bio 1b and am doing poorly so i want to change to pass not pass because that wont be a prereq for my major ne more. Is this the right move to make?</p>
<p>Are you completely sure you don’t want to be a premed? I’m guessing you’re a freshman (correct me if I’m wrong), and you’re panicking that you’ll get a few bad grades on your transcript from the premed req’s, so no med school would accept you. It’s okay if you get a few bad grades in the beginning, as long as you show improvement later on. Getting a bad grade in Bio 1b shouldn’t deter you from your goals. A safer move might be to continue taking the premed req’s, but switch your major to political economy. Give yourself a little more time to think whether you want to change your life plans this early. </p>
<p>Anyway, I guess if you’re that sure, you could talk to an advisor some more, see what they say about it, and then you could change your grade to pass/no pass.</p>
