Changing mind after Deferring for a year

Okay, so here is the problem. I was accepted into School A, and School B for Information and Library Science in the spring of 2010. School A is a fancy private University in a large city. School B is a state university with a distance option, that would allow me to start online, then transfer down there to complete my degree. It’s also about 1/4 of the cost of School A. I was totally for school A in 2010. I visited it, and loved it. However, it would cost over $100,00.00 to get my degree there. Being the stubborn person I was, I deffered for a year, thinking that I could go in fall of 2011 after saving money. However, after a lot of thinking, I realized that I cannot afford to borrow that amount of money. I just can’t do it. I decided to attend University B, also deffering from them for a year, and do what I described above. I am planning on starting online this fall. However, I do not know how to word my letter to School A, asking if I can break my deferment, if I can do that. I’ve been playing phone tag with the admissions office of school A to ask them about this, but cannot seem to get a real person on the phone.
Help!

I got in touch with school A, finally. All I had to do was send them an email. Yay! Anyway, I thought I would leave this thread up in case someone else has the same question…
