Changing Timezones with Cell

I’m from Ohio and I’m going to college in California. I already have a cell phone from here that I am taking to California. Will the clock on my cell phone automatically change to the western time zone? I’m really hoping that it doesn’t so that I could talk to my friends in the eastern timezone past 4 pm (instead of 7 pm) for free. How awesome would that be? Alas, I fear that when I step off the plane I will find that my cell phone’s clock will be automatically adjusted to the pacific time zone…

yes it will change. it changes while you’re in the air. It heats up every time you go into a different time zone.

it WILL and WON’t change. the clock on your phone will automatically adjust, but the time the phone company goes by is that of the original place where you purchased your phone. so you WILL be able to call after 4pm instead of waiting til 7pm (cali time), b/c technically you are calling after 7pm ohio time.

i know from personal experience…trust me. and also your voicemails will also go by ohio time (in terms of what time it says you recieved it). so it will say “first message recieved at 3pm” or something, which means you actually recieved it at 12pm cali time. this doesn’t matter that much though. your phone will log missed calls as cali time, or whatever time zone you’re in.
