Changing username?

Is there a way to change my username? I don’t want to cause confusion with another poster who basically has the same name–just substituting a number for the word. Who woulda thunk?

yeah, how would we go about changing our usernames??

???

I might be wrong, but my understanding is that you would have to re-subscribe and start over! I am interested in changing mine, too. I didn’t realize this board was going to become as important as my job!

AKLUFTXCL–
Thanks for the laugh at first glance. (I realize a name could be hidden in there, but…)
Hoo hoo boy! (wipes tears)

Admins can do it easily…
[at least in phpbb forum software;this is vbulletin ]

I thought maybe you wanted to change it to Two2go, as in, one down, two to go! :)

NJres-
I wish!

I think if you contact Admin they can change your name while keeping your current Profile, stats, preferences, etc.

I, too, would have chosen a username with more care if I had realized how long I was going to be on. Three years and 20,000+ posts later, I figure I’m stuck with it. Too many people know me as “TheDad.”

TheDad,
Since you are a longtime, prolific and very wise poster, TheDad fits you very well. Or were you considering becoming The Granddad?

how about TheGodDad?

How did you get the asterisks in your name?? I thought we could only have numbers and letters??

Tex, not even in jest.

NSM, well, DadEmeritus doesn’t really work, does it, because one is always a Dad if one is lucky enough. However, not GrandDad for at least 10 years, I imagine. D is already percolating thoughts towards both law school and a Master’s.

I too wish I had used a different screen name. Anyone who knows me and reads CC carefully would definitely figure out who I am. They should post warnings that users may become addicted and inadvertantly divulge all kinds of details about their families!!
