Chapman lands #3 spot on Newsweek's "Most Beautiful Campus" College Rankings

Yes, it’s evidently based on the beauty of the campus, a ‘comfort index’ (weather) and also attractiveness of the student body. An overall ‘beauty’ index, I suppose. Not serious, but then a number of the US News College Rankings are fun and silly. It still indicates that the students are happy with this aspect of the college.

That said, my husband and I were in Old Towne Orange yesterday walking about and it was just about perfect: banners up for the International Food Fair, gorgeous weather, musicians with mandolins, violins and guitars gathering to play on the Circle, Chapman’s campus relaxed and pretty in summer, people cycling by on cruisers, dog-walkers, little galleries, coffee houses and funky vintage shops. It’s all on a small scale, postage stamp sized…but wonderful, just the same.
