Character recommendation letter

So, I wrote a character recommendation letter… how does it look?

To whom this may concern,

It is my great pleasure to recommend BIZZARO, a close friend I have known for over 2 years. In my interactions with it, I found that it demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, organization, and work ethic.

My family has had an amiable relationship with its predating my own introduction to them when I accepted a job in Seattle. Therefore when I first moved to Seattle, its family toured me around the greater area. During this time, its kind and welcoming disposition was a god-send. Additionally, it was a significant presence by guiding me in furnishing my apartment; its sensible suggestions demonstrated a maturity unmatched for its age.

Over the years I have known it, I am frequently surprised by BIZZARO’s rigid self-discipline. It strictly adheres to a self-imposed schedule, prioritizing its homework and projects over entertainment. It handles its assignments and studies with frequent ease, which would explain why it never complains about the hours it pours into its schooling. Yet, despite its hectic schedule, it always put aside some time for helping friends and family. When I buy furniture from IKEA, it is always the first to volunteer to help perform the setup.

Though GNARLY may only be in middle school, it is mature and highly motivated. It will grow to become an incredible individual and I know I will be proud to be a tiny part of the reason why. I know that you will be able to say the same once you admit it to XXX High School.

If you have any questions or concerns; please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at ###-###-#### or SUPERMAN@EMAIL.COM.

Sincerely,

D:, perhaps I should post some context.

My friend’s child needs a recommendation to the high school of "it"s choice. It’s the first time I wrote a recommendation and given that this is a good kid, I really want “it” to get in.

I hope someone may offer some suggestions to whether or not what I’ve written (ignoring the obvious privacy replacements) is appropriate. Alternatively, a thumbs up would be awesome.

It is a good start. If there are any more substantive specific and first hand examples of “ITs” character, achievement or work ethic, I would suggest you add them. Perhaps don’ even specifically identify only 2 years of knowledge or, alternatively, give a better sense that you have a depth of familiarity rather than just a pleasant acquaintance type of relationship, even if only two years.
