To people who volunteer at a hospital or have any experience in science/medicine, what are key interactions between staff and patients in a hospital and between staff members themselves? And what are important qualities for medical students to have in order to work thoroughly with other students/staff/patients?

Bump: I’d really like some feedback!

To be able to work well in a hospital or in Industry in Teams, beyond the knowledge and expertise you need to hone in - 1) good interpersonal skills 2) listening ability 3) open-mindedness 4) ability to research options 5) detail oriented behavior 6) ability to make decisions 7) being able to maintain your equilibrium or cool despite chaotic situations 8) ability to clearly communicate decisions or directives 9) patience 10) flexibility 11) diligence 12) commitment and above all 13) passion and love of the field

In industry, I would also add - 1) being patient with the young and inexperienced.
I am not sure how tolerant fellows are in this regard in a hospital setting. My background is in Pharma Clinical environment

thanks thats some good feedback :-)
