charged for credits over 17?

"Undergraduate students who register for more than 17 credit hours are charged the flat full-time tuition rate with an additional charge for each credit hour over 17."

Unlike Golden Corral, it's not all you can eat.

this is the first school i've found that actually doesn't have an 18 credit limit.

I took 18 credits a couple of times in order to graduate early. If taking normal 3 credit classes, that is 6 a semester. It is doable, but expensive and difficult with an internship.

On the contrary, if you take 17 or 18 credits you are maximizing your dollar per credit average as you pay a flat fee for semester tuition. 18 credits would mean you would only pay for one credit or roughly $1000 - $1500(whatever AU's high tuition rate is these days); but that's a heck of a lot better than an extra semester of tuition or a summer course($3000 +)
