Is this a “suitcase” school where a lot of the students go home on weekends?
It seems a lot of students are from in-state and around half live “off campus” by junior year but I don’t know if they live right near by campus and if campus is active on weekends. Also, stats suggest a lot of students are slightly older than the traditional 18-21.

My daughter is a freshman and goes to see her boyfriend in Columbia most weekends. Not much to do on campus, however, when she does stay—she and her roommates go to the beach, downtown Charleston. Great area, you just have to find stuff you want to do. She loves the people she has met on campus and enjoys going there.
