Additional info I read on the news about this (am just reporting facts I’ve read, not providing political commentary):
- shooter’s father works in law enforcement
- shooter messaged his roommate on Discord, saying how he had stashed the gun in a wooded area & other details.
- Roommate voluntarily showed the Discord messages to law enforcement when questioned by law enforcement yesterday
- shooter attended 1 semester at UVU in 2021
- shooter is a 3rd yr electrician apprentice student at a community college in St George, UT
- Law enforcement have stated that they intend to pursue the death penalty
- shooter engraved messages on the bullets
- shooter confessed to his dad. The dad tried to get him to turn himself in.
