Maybe that is why he has been on a downward spiral. I wonder if he just couldnt deal with his health status?
I don’t wish anyone ill, but really, who cares? He’s a horrible person who has treated his family, friends and colleagues abominably but was enabled by most of them because he made them rich. I’ll save my sympathy for those who deserve it. I just hope he didn’t endanger the lives of the parade of women he slept with.

Im not sympathetic to him, I just wondered if it explained some of his bizarre behavior. Besides, this is the cafe, this is not the first pop culture story and it wont be the last.
Hopefully, this news will wake up the hook up culture on campus and they will learn that if you sleep around you are at risk of HIV.
I hope he made a “pre-announcement” to all the people with whom he had unprotected sex so they can get testing and counseling.
I doubt it will wake up the hook-up culture on campus. Charlie Sheen isn’t someone that young people pay attention to. His glory days in acting were years ago.

I’m sorry he’s living with HIV. I wish him good health. I haven’t read the link yet and I wonder when he learned and whether or not he disclosed to partners.
I wish more people would come out with their status. HIV is not a death sentence for someone like him. He’ll live a normal lifespan as long as he adheres to his meds.
If it does not exist, then it disappeared. It was intact when I was in college, albeit that was 30 years ago!

I hope he didn’t have it when he was married and passed it on to his ex-wife because then she could have passed it on to one of their kids when she was pregnant.
It would take a really, really, really bad person for me to not wish them good health. I too hope that he is getting good treatment and that his partners do the same.

There’s a big difference in risk factors between occasional one night stands among college students where condoms are everywhere and frequent unprotected sex with prostitutes.
It’s also a good reminder to take care of your mental health. If “bi-winning” Sheen were on lithium would this have happened? I doubt it.
Martin Sheen has said quite a bit about addiction, and about Charlie. It is very sad. I hope that Charlie has not infected anyone else. Clearly, in some way, he is coming to terms with his behavior. At least somewhat. I hope he finds peace.
Charlie Sheen is around 50 or so. His big roles were in Platoon and Wall Street - both mid-80’s movies that the majority of college-age students have never heard of or watched. I seriously cannot imagine today’s young people know or care who Charlie Sheen is, one way or the other. .
My guys all know Charlie Sheen. They watched Two and A Half Men in reruns. Just the kind of potty humor guys like.
