cheap entertainment

Trying to keep certain threads from getting more off track than they already were & combining them into one!
Cheap & Entertaining!
Don’t have a theatre sized screen, but just enjoyed watching *Mongol * on the laptop.
It was the sort of story that you really wanted to know what happens next.

I also have been watching The Wire ( still on 2nd season) that has some characters that I want to slap around but has stories that are interesting and ongoing, without dragging them on too long ( so far). It apparently is Obama’s favorite show & I had never heard of it ( not having cable), but I thought it might appeal to me being I agree with him on so many other issues.

Other than that , not so much entertainment.

I did spend $15 tickets to a fundraiser for a foster care support agency ( and since I know the exec director- it will be fun to catch up- even if Mike McCready wasn’t playing lol)
my H is not a planner & the only time we go out is when we have tickets- otherwise something always comes up. You should have seen him when the Drs wanted to transfer me to another hospital when I was pregnant without having to go in an ambulance- it took him * hours*.

I really miss going to the theatre- I think I may try and find small companies that sound interesting- & have cheap tickets, we used to have season tickets to the Seattle Childrens theatre- which was very good- ( I also miss seeing the productions at the kids schools)

I think they need student discount for 50 year olds.
:)

Nothing is cheaper than bird watching. I have a huge pair of binoculars and I can watch all kinds of birds upclose in my backyard. It’s also one of Hank Paulson’s favorite activity and he is the one that can afford the Rolex.

I know a pair of little old ladies who go to all the art openings in the county. Free food and wine and nice art.

You could probably go to all the local high school performances. We have dozens in our county.

In NYC some museums are pay what you wish and/or have free hours.

<<i think=β€œβ€ they=β€œβ€ need=β€œβ€ student=β€œβ€ discount=β€œβ€ for=β€œβ€ 50=β€œβ€ year=β€œβ€ olds=β€œβ€>>
<i think=β€œβ€ they=β€œβ€ need=β€œβ€ student=β€œβ€ discount=β€œβ€ for=β€œβ€ 50=β€œβ€ year=β€œβ€ olds=β€œβ€>

I definitely think parents of college students need a discount.

I didn’t even get the bumper sticker that says β€œMy kid and my money go to NYU”

My sweet H says Im his favorite form of cheap entertainment.

I am planning on signing up to usher at some theaters in town- You are able to see the show for free.
