A few weeks ago Syracuse asked my daughter for our W2s and a whole bunch of detailed financial aide information. This was on top of our FAFSA and CSS profile. Of course she emailed them right away. Today her portal said they didn’t have her letters of recommendation. She checked Naviance and they were sent electronically at the end of November. We took a screenshot of the Naviance page and she was just about to email the admission office. But then she refreshed the screen and it once again said they had everything. I guess it was a glitch? But it freaked me out. I might have her email them anyway. In any case there were NO emails either time to alert her that there might be outstanding stuff in her portal. She was actually checking today just to see if they needed her first semester senior grades.
Is that the MySlice page? Or is there a different application tracker?
@radkm19 it was MySlice. The request for our 2016 W2 forms was in the Financial aide ‘to do list.’ For over a month it had said we didn’t need anything and then all of a sudden it asked for a whole bunch of financial stuff. We had to fill out a Syracuse form that was even more invasive than the CSS profile, if that’s even possible. I had to dig out all our paperwork again. It would have been super easy to miss it. There was no email and you have to click on the tiny ‘to do list’ link to even find it.
Do they need first semester grades?
My daughter hasn’t been asked for them yet.
