I’ve been asked to join UCLA’s cheerleading squad (not where I want to go though)
When I lived in California I was ranked as 3rd cheerleader (flyer) in the state

What do you guys think?

You definitely seem like a great person…but why do you want to go to HYP? Those schools aren’t well known as jock schools, and I’m not sure that they would foster your love of cheerleadings. Perhaps a school like Duke, who has a bigger emphasis of sports would be better. Furthermore, although you excel in your passion of dance, what about academics? I don’t think you have very high chances getting into Princeton, Harvard and Yale are definitely reaches as well.

Well, it looks like you’re moving in the right direction, and your ECs look interestng, especially the track and cross country stuff which could be a good athletic hook (Yes, the Ivies do recruit athletes), especially if you win on the state or national level.

But the truth is, it’s too early to hazard a guess. Post again after you’ve taken the SATs and some SATIIs. Then we’ll have some basis of comparision.

they definitely need cheerleaders, too, and i really dont know how it works but I would imagine they recruit. IF you are taking hard courses (honors, AP), have really good essays and recommendations, and that 3.9 is unweighted, you have a great shot

need to specify on your academic record. I hope you applied to schools other than HYP, like Notredame or Duke, which may share your passion for sports

average chance at the ivies.

Morgan, can you grind?

Grind? Okay this is too short so now um…Grind?

Don’t mind Sevendust, he’s a ■■■■■

I’d recommend taking the new SAT pretty soon… unless the 1450 is what you’re sending to college.

Yeah unless you’re a junior, isn’t it too late for taking the SATs? I saw some ECs that you did in the 12th grade…so I’m guessing you’re a senior.

Haven’t the Ivy deadlines passed already?

First, the calibre of ytour NY public is important to know. The very best can tell you where you will be accepted.

Your SATs are low for the non hooked, ECs are at best average, but I think the ivies are more impressed by having at least some intellectual ECs, so thatt could mean below average. Good rank, but that goes back to whether we’re talking Brearley or something lower down the list.

I’d say the ivies are a real reach. How about USC, Mich or another big sports school where the cheerleading would be a hook?

can you say legally blonde?

lol smart cheerleaders exist…I can’t speak for myself cause I’m pretty ditzy. Too many toe touches.

haha, now that I think about it that comment was kinda mean

I appologize to all the cheerleaders and blondes of the world. I don’t even know morgancreg’s true hair color!
anyways, I think you would definitely be in at most of the Ivies, but HYPS are always a crapshoot. Might as well apply and see what happens.

^^go on her webpage. she is HOT!! and she doesnt have blonde hair.

Yo Morgan, can I be an integral so that I can determine the area under your curve?

hahaha that’s a good one
