Several schools a friend is looking at do not have their cheer tryouts until May, after deposits are due. She plans to tryout at several schools and the final decision will depend on those results since some of the schools offer tuition waivers, etc. Is there any way to avoid double depositing and that whole issue? How can they do this since those kids need to know about the financial aspects before accepting and the tryouts affect that? Or is there really backdoor recruiting going on and the squads are pretty much set before the tryout dates? There are a couple big-name schools in the mix.
