Chelsea Clinton Engaged

Enough about Tiger! Here’s some good news!

[Chelsea Clinton engaged to boyfriend | World news | The Guardian](Chelsea Clinton engaged to boyfriend | US news | The Guardian)

Wow. It almost feels medieval. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky gave Clinton the last vote he needed to pass his tax bill (and in the process assured herself of losing her job), and Clinton gives her (son) his first-born. Obviously, that’s not exactly what happened – and I’m sure no one is “giving” Chelsea to anyone as if she were chattel – but still . . . .

Hmmm…wonder who will marry them?

Wonderful news. They’re a lovely young couple.

rodney, they are going to marry each other! :D

nice!

<- that’s the future FIL, not the fiance… or financee as they are called in the IB community.

I’m wondering why anyone cares? Seriously!

NJres: I think the groom was raised in the Jewish faith? that was what I was referring to…

oy! 10 characters! ex cons! rabbis ministers

Maybe Ruth Bader Ginsburg will do the honors, God willing? A nice compromise… not a rabbi, but a Jewish Justice, and a friend of Bill!

Iron Maiden, many of us watched her grow up and think of her as family. And of course it’s gossip.

They seem to have done a good job with her. What does Chelsea do? It’s strange they would mention he is an investment banker, but nothing about her.

I believe she is in a graduate program at Columbia

She apparently attends a graduate program in Public Health at Columbia.

I love that combination: future in-laws involved in both politics and prison. Best wishes Chelsea!

Huh? It’s one e for a male and ee for a female. Why would he be considered female by the international banking community? What am I missing?

Read again more carefully, jonri. There’s another tricky extra letter in there.

Does this mean Chelsea is no longer available to marry my son? Because I was sort of counting on that.

She’s very very cool. I love how she campaigned for her mother.

Nothing to do with the son, of course. By all accounts the father has a legitimate mental illness (diagnosed with bipolar illness), though it did not get him off the hook for his crimes.

Ed Mezvinsky’s crimes mainly consisted of getting roped in by one of those Nigerian-type scams, and bringing a bunch of his friends and acquaintances along. Very sad, very stupid.

Oh, thanks! Now I get it. I didn’t even notice the other extra letter before!!!
