wow! the dress is amazing! Chelsea looks beautiful…maybe is just me, but Clinton looks better than Hillary. He even looks younger than her.

NYMomof2-Everything looked beautiful-one of the most important events in any parent’s life. What are you trying to get at?

I, too, LOVE the dress. I think the silver beading is flattering, and it gives the dress some interest and makes it unique. They all look great and so happy. Could not have had better weather, too. Just lovely. Congrats, Chelsea!

She looks beautiful. I love the dress! The groom looks very nice too.

Has Bill been dieting? He looks thinner.

She looks beautiful! I love her hair, and I think the dress looks good on her. I am not into that much poof, but heck, she works it out! All three Clintons look like they’ve lost a bunch of weight! Aren’t they reporting that Bill lost 20ish pounds?

More photos from the NY Times:

Chelsea looks lovely. I like the tone of the dress, sort of silvery-gray white to go with the silver beading.

Bill looks, I dare say, too thin???

I just showed the picture of Bill Clinton walking his baby girl down th isle to DH, and DH said, “If I were in Bill’s shoes, I’d be carrying a big assault rifle to send the groom a certain message” :)

You’re right, he is a bit too thin, it’s like that time right after you lose 20# and before your body adjusts. In photo 14 in the last link, Bill looks a bit hollow chested. He probably doesn’t need to gain any weight back, just build some muscle.

And, I agree, Chelsea looks the thinnest I’ve ever seen her, not bad, but almost lollypop…not quite though!

Wow, those of you with such negative comments on such a positive day. I just don’t get it. As they say, “if you having nothing postive to say.” Everything looked lovely.

Shoot me but I would love to see pictures of the wedding party. Im curious to know what the bridesmaid wore.

Chelsea looks beautiful- I love the dress. Bill and Hill also look great. I can feel the emotion in Bill’s face as he walks his baby girl down the aisle!.

I;d also like to see pictures of the groom’s family. He looks great and I’d like to see the joy in his family.

I agree; I want more photos.

I think Chelsea looks beautiful. Her dress is unique looking. It is sort of a fairy tale princess look, but she looks lovely in it and pulls it off well. I look forward to seeing more photos!

Chelsea’s dress took my breath away when I first saw it. Gorgeous!

Not really. Fashion terms can change I suppose, but long ties are not normally included in the term “black tie.” “White tie” is the more formal men’s wear - meaning a tuxedo with a white bow tie. “Black tie” is one step less formal -calling for a tux or dinner jacket with a black bow tie. A nice suit with a long tie would normally be termed “business attire.”

But I assume Bill was paying for the wedding, which in my book means he can wear cut-offs and a t-shirt if he wants to.

World English Dictionary
black tie

n
- a black bow tie worn with a dinner jacket
- ( modifier ) denoting an occasion when a dinner jacket should be worn

so beautiful and joyful. The dress couldn’t have been more beautiful and Secretary Clinton looked every inch the proud mom! I, too, would love to see the bridesmaids’ dresses!

I prefer the look of a bow tie with a tux when it is a “black tie” event. But apparently things are flexible per [Permanent style: Evening wear: Why a four-in-hand is better than a red bow tie](Permanent style: Evening wear: Why a four-in-hand is better than a red bow tie) and [Classic Tuxedo - Formalwear, Black Tie for Weddings, Black Tie Events, Prom, Measurements](http://www.classictuxedo.com/askbill.htm).

Anyhow, I wonder if at least part of the reason for the long tie decision was that the groom seemed to have a little mike attached to his tie (per pic of him and Chelsea walking up the aisle following the ceremony). Perhaps the long tie worked better with the mike, which they perhaps wanted so that everyone could hear the vows clearly?

I loved Chelsea’s gown and was glad they had such a beautiful day. I have been in that town.

In any event, kudos to the Clintons for pulling this off they way they wanted with such effectiveness. No leak of the dress or other details – amazing!

It was nice of them to release a handful of photos last evening, for the public. But I too would like to see more!

They seem to have released a handful of photos; I hope there will be more coming! I’m dying to see the rest of the wedding party and some of the guests. Most news outlets have resorted to publishing photos of the people standing around the Rhinebeck inns hoping to see a famous guest.

I find myself barely noticing the groom in the photos. The Clintons - especially Chelsea - have such a glow that they attract all the attention. I’ve never seen Chelsea with her hair up before, and it is very flattering.

I’m glad that they had such a perfect day - they are lucky that it wasn’t 100 degrees, as it has been around here for most of July.

I love weddings! I am happy for anyone starting out, marriage is just about the most optimistic thing you can do.
