i’m taking chem 3a next semester and want to start studying this break. does anyone know which chapters chem 3a cover in the textbook?
thanks

1) no, you’re not cool
2) chapter 1 through whatever chapter has allylic systems
3) you will start off and think that you’re ahead so you’ll stop. whatever you read between now and 1/18 will be covered within the 2 classes

Lawl, there’s some truth in above post ^^^. There’s not much purpose in studying ahead during break unless you cover all the topics. However, I will say that if you can get stereochemistry down (be comfortable with viewing molecules in 3D, understanding things like stereoisomerism, chair flipping, classifying stereocenters, etc) you can probably save yourself some headache during the semester, since that tends to be sort of difficult for a lot of people. Overall, there’s really nothing too tough in 3A though so don’t sweat it - just keep up during the semester and you’ll be fine.
